Turck introduces the "RI360P-QR24", the first manufacturer on the market to offer a non-contact inductive universal encoder, which is high-resolution, absolutely wear-free and at the same time magnetic-field-resistant. The sensor and position encoders of the encoder are completely encapsulated and designed as two independent, completely sealed units that work together without contact.
Vibrations or shocks of the shaft are thus not passed on to the sensor. This makes the RI360P-QR24 superior to both optical and magnetic encoders. With its high degree of protection IP69K and a resolution of more than 18 bits, machine downtime and maintenance times due to encoder wear are now a thing of the past, even for high-precision and high-speed applications.
The Encoder is based on a new parameterization and assembly concept, which makes it the universal encoder for any standard industrial application. Users can parameterize the device as incremental, multi-turn or single-turn encoders. Output signals, switching points and measuring ranges are also individually set by the user in this variant via IO-Link. In addition, there is a high-resolution version with SSI output, a Modbus and voltage / current version and a rotary encoder designed according to the e1 specification for use on mobile machines. The mounting concept of the rotary encoder further extends its range of application: The rotary encoder can be mounted on all common shaft diameters up to 20 mm via adapter rings.
