SiemensThe speed sensor with shaft drive "Sitrans WS300"The Siemens Industry Automation Division by a constant pulse train accurate results in industrial applications. The sensor is used in conjunction with the Milltronics BW100 and BW500, the module Siwarex FTC PLC and a Milltronics belt scale. Four resolutions 32, 256, 1000 and 2000 pulses per revolution sensor is suitable for monitoring applications with low to high speeds.

With only 1,22 kg weight, Sitrans WS300 is one of the lightest sensors for monitoring conveyor belt speeds on the market. Due to its robust cast aluminum housing, it is suitable for use in heavy industry as well as for outdoor installation. The stainless steel version of Sitrans WS300 can be used in harsh environments and in food processing. The sensor is certified for use in hazardous dust atmospheres, with IP65 and NEMA 4X degrees of protection, and can therefore be used in virtually all industrial sectors - from the food and chemical industries to cement production or stone and earth.

To ensure accurate readout of the belt speed, the Sitrans WS300 can be connected directly to a deflection or under-belt roller. This avoids sources of error that can arise due to belt slippage or material jams. The sensor monitors belt speed and can be used as input to a transmitter that calculates flow rate and belt speed. Sitrans WS300 is combined with the Milltronics BW100 and BW500 transmitters or the Siwarex FTC PLC module and a Milltronics belt scale to form a complete weighing system.
