Micro-Epsilon presents a world first: triangulation sensors with Blue Laser technology. The Blue Laser sensors are in many applications clearly superior to the standard sensors with red laser diode. The wavelength of the blue laser offers significant advantages in measurements on metal, in particular glowing metal and on organic substances such as wood, skin, food, veneers or the like. With these materials, the blue laser light does not penetrate into the measurement object due to the shorter wavelength, as is the case with a red laser.
The blue laser forms a minimal laser spot on the surface and thus ensures stable and precise results on otherwise critical objects. The construction of triangulation sensors with Blue Laser technology has been completely redesigned. The sensors are equipped with new high-end lenses, a new intelligent laser control and new evaluation algorithms. Laser sensors with Blue Laser is the physical development of the numerous laser sensors on the market. The Blue Laser technology is available on the industrial standard laser sensors "Opto NCDT 1700". Depending on the test object and measuring range, the sensor must be selected with a red or blue laser before purchase.
