Turck has his offer for the flow monitoring supplemented with new evaluation devices. Ease of use, high functionality and a variety of connections, which covers all modern requirements, were in the foreground of the development of the FM (Flow Module) family. The modules are designed in an IM DIN rail housing and can be easily configured at the push of a button or via IO-Link or HART. Indicator LEDs and an 10 segment LED strip indicate the current measurement status on site. In addition to the flow, all modules continuously record the temperature and any malfunctions.
The FM family consists of six variants, three of which are suitable for the non-Ex area and three for the Ex area. In addition to the FM-IM-3UP with three switching outputs and the FM-IM-3UR with three relay outputs, the FM-IM-UPLI offers one analogue and two switching outputs. While the FMX in the Ex version is also equipped with a HART interface, the other five variants have an IO-Link interface. With its variety of connections, the FM family fits perfectly into the user's automation infrastructure.
All flow sensors of the series FCS (immersion sensors) and FCI (inline sensors) can be operated without restrictions on the flow modules. The sensors work according to the calorimetric principle and are suitable for monitoring liquid and gaseous media, for example as dry running protection for pumps or for monitoring cooling circuits and inerting processes.
