pepperl0417The Ethernet IO Modules by Pepperl + Fuchs support all common Ethernet protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet IP and Ethercat in one device. The integrated IO-Link master function enables continuous diagnostics and parameterization. The L-coded M12 power connector offers up to 16 A current and reduces the installation effort. Modules with integrated logic function can solve stand-alone applications and completely replace controls or only provide status messages.



The multi-protocol function makes standardization possible in the machine, where previously different types of modules were needed. A rotary switch can be used to switch between the protocols Profinet, Ethernet IP and Ethercat. The integrated web server enables downloads, parameterization and diagnostics display.

Via the integrated 8 IO-Link Master, IO-Link-capable sensors and actuators can be connected, configured and parameterized. The transparent diagnosis and the simple exchange of devices through redundant data storage are important advantages.

The power concept with L-coded M12 connector provides connectivity and power with up to 16 A. This reduces parallel wiring and supply tracking. The robust, fully encapsulated metal housing complies with protection class IP65 / 67 / 69 and is very compact with only 200 mm length and 18 mm height.

Simple programming is sufficient for the modules to execute decentralized functions and to relieve or replace the central controller. Communication costs and response times are reduced. The central overview is retained. The decentralized logic can be limited to one part of the IOs, while the others remain left to the controller. This makes interaction between the control and the decentralized execution program possible.
