From now on HMS supports a large selection of his Ixxat PC / CAN interfaces with a driver package for the real-time operating system VxWorks (6.9.3) from Wind River. In addition to the development of standard Windows applications, based on the proven Ixxat VCI driver, time-critical automation applications that require real-time CAN connectivity based on the Ixxat ECI driver for Linux, Intime, QNX, RTX and now VxWorks can be realized.
VxWorks supports Intel microcontroller architectures and processors. These are Intel Core, Intel Core 2, Celeron (Core) and Celerom M (Merom) as well as Pentium Dual-Core (Allendale / Merom) and Xeon (Core).
The VxWorks driver currently supports the new USB-to-CAN V2 interfaces and the CAN-IB interfaces for PCIe, PCIe Mini, PCIe 104 and the PCI-04 PCI card. For maximum flexibility, the ECI driver provides the user with a uniform application interface that allows switching between the different interfaces without adapting the application. With the ECI version, the Ixxat CAN cards are now even easier to use in complex applications such as medical and aerospace engineering.
