IP 40 exchange module "Netjack 51" by Hilscher was developed for use in devices that require a high-performance or isochronous real-time Ethernet slave interface. It provides a fast SPI connection to the host processor and is, thanks to Netx 51, suitable for the Profinet V2.3 "High Performance Profile".
Netjack reduces the integration effort and component costs of the device manufacturer, since only a simple serial connection to the processor must be realized. As with the entire Netjack family, there are no hidden costs in the motherboard design, as the connectors and guide rails are formed as signal pads and cutouts.
The user data can be transmitted to the host processor either via an 50 MHz SPI interface or an 8 / 16-bit parallel bus. Compatible mechanics, unified interfaces and the same FDT / DTM based configuration tool make it possible to use the full range of network protocols and IP40 modules.
