Kyland Technology introduces the new serial Device server "Sicom 3005A" in front. With this server, serial devices can be seamlessly integrated into an Ethernet network. As a result, the transmission distances can be extended as required and the data can be evaluated on a PC or converted back into serial signals at the destination. An integrated Ethernet switch, which supports extensive management, diagnostics and safety functions as well as fast ring redundancy procedures, enables easy commissioning, saves space in the control cabinet and reduces power consumption.
The device server has four serial ports (RS232, RS485, RS422) and six Fast Ethernet ports for twisted pair cables, two of which are optionally available for fiber optic cables. It can be integrated into different automation systems via an OPC interface. Other features include a temperature range of -40 ° to + 75 ° C, protection IP40, EMC compliance to industrial level 4 and power supplies for a power supply from 12 to 220 V. This allows the device server in numerous industrial sectors such as the energy sector, the Factory automation or transportation.
