Michael Koch offers an optional RS422 interface for his storage devices. The Dynamic Energy Storage DES For the storage and reproduction of braking energy of electric drive systems as well as the Dynamic Power Supply DEV, the short-time UPS for converters receive the option of outputting cable data and therefore largely interference-free working data via this option.
In addition to the standard infrared interface and the optional Bluetooth and WLAN modules, the electrically isolated RS422 interface provides a fourth communication link option. The interface is located on the underside of the devices, is legibly labeled and equipped with a plug for connecting the data cable at the factory.
The RS422 interface provides a symmetric data transmission over two lines per communication direction. Immunity is very good due to high common-mode rejection. The data lines are galvanically isolated via fast optocouplers. High data rates with long data lines are possible. Another advantage is that the data cables to be used are inexpensive in comparison.
