koco Motion equips its electric drives and motion control products for the future and presents SPS IPC Drives Ethernet-enabled solutions. The focus of the exhibition will be on the integrated stepper motor drives "Mdrive Plus" and "Mdrive Hybrid" as well as the Ethernet gateway for the Mdrive drives as well as the "Mforce" stepper motor controllers with serial RS485 / 422 interface and ASCII command set.
After Modbus TCP, Ethernet / IP is now the latest fieldbus in the integrated stepper motor drives of the Mdrive Plus and Mdrive hybrid to disposal. A configuration program is used to select the Ethernet-based protocol to be used. The choices are Ethernet / IP, Modbus TCP or Mcode (ASCII command set).
In the Mdrive Hybrid Ethernet / IP drives, the patented closed-loop HMI control (hybrid motion control) also prevents stepping motor-typical "stepping out". In the event of overload, it controls the speed to a standstill with the aid of the integrated encoder if necessary. The motor thus behaves like a DC servo drive and therefore does not need to be over-dimensioned accordingly. Precise microstep operation allows high-resolution motion and very accurate positioning. There are four motor lengths each in the Nema 23 motor flange size (56 x 56 mm).
With the new Ethernet gateway, the Mdrive stepper motor drives now also incorporate Mforce-series stepper motor controllers with serial RS-485 / 422 interface and ASCII command set via the Ethernet gateway into Ethernet-based bus and fieldbus systems.
Via a configuration program, the user sets the corresponding parameters, data objects and the respective IP address. He then selects the corresponding Ethernet protocol via the respective port to which the Mcode ASCII command set of the RS485 / 422 interface is to be converted. Also available are Ethernet / IP, Modbus TCP and Mcode over Ethernet (ASCII command set).
