Sensor-/Aktorhubs with IO-Link interface Balluff helps with installation, maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment to save time and money. The extremely robust M12 variants in IP 67 in fully encapsulated, solid metal housing are specialists in very harsh industrial environments, as found for example in machine tools and in steel mills.
New in the range are the IO-Link actuator hubs, which meet the requirements for safe shutdown ("passive safety") of outputs in accordance with Machine Directive 2006 / EG, EN 954-1 category 3, EN 13849-1 EN 62061 SIL2. They allow standard I / Os or safety I / Os to be mapped together within a fieldbus topology.
For the IO-Link actuator hubs of type BNI IOL-252 / 256 ... the I / O block is divided into two galvanically separated segments. In this way, two separate safety circuits can be implemented with one module. This greatly extends the functionality of the IO-Link system concept. It thus meets all the requirements of a holistic approach, at the same time reducing the number of components and considerably simplifying the installation of the cabling of machines. Earlier in the merger and forwarding of different signals from and to the control level quickly became an arm thicker cable harness, now occurs in its place a simple three-core cable. Special cables and additional boxes become superfluous.
The M12 actuator hubs also offer an innovative shape and robustness, as well as numerous features for easy handling. Powerful inputs and outputs, an extended temperature range, a flat, space-saving profile with rounded edges with plenty of labeling space, unusually bright and highly visible status LEDs and dual input points per connector are available.
