Hannover Messe Hall 9, Stand D36
This year, the IFM Group The concept of their exhibition stand in Hanover is completely new: the focus is on an augmented reality installation for the first time. The key technological component is the integrated into a Google Tango smartphone 3D camera from PMD Technologies.
The technology has become a real trade fair highlight in the past year, when US President Barack Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel put on a VR glasses, which was equipped with this camera, on the exhibition stand - probably the most commonly used image of Hannover Fair 2016.
This year, all trade fair visitors can now experience this technology and also test it themselves. With a specially created augmented reality installation, visitors throw an extraordinary look into the future of the manufacturing industry and the applications of the sensor technology of the manufacturer. The facilities of a digital factory can be virtually operated, the results as well as measurement data and information appear live in front of the visitors. Thus, various applications can be experienced in a virtual digital factory, such as the realization of so-called digital twins ("digital twins"), ie images of physical objects in the digital world for the optimization of production processes.
Of course, numerous new products from the sensor range are also on display. Focus here are the 3D camera O3D, the communication of Sensors via IO-Link, the line recorder framework and connectivity to cloud solutions and ERP systems.
