The industrial camera Matrox "Iris GTR"(Sales Rauscher) fits with its dimensions of only 75 75 x x 54 mm in confined spaces. It uses Python On Semiconductor CMOS image sensors from VGA up to Megapixel 5 with high readout rates and has an Intel Celeron N2807 dual-core processor, DDR3 SDRAM, 32 GB eMMC and integrated graphics with VGA output.
External devices can be connected via Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 and Digital IO. Direct communication with PLCs and other programmable controllers can be done with Profinet, Ethernet / IP and Modbus over TCP / IP. With its IP67 certified housing and M12 connectors, the Iris GTR is dustproof, submersible, extremely rugged, making it suitable for dirty industrial environments.
A dedicated LED intensity adjustment interface makes it easy to set up and use the entire machine vision system by integrating the lighting control through an application's user interface. A dedicated interface for controlling a Varioptic Caspian autofocus lens also contributes to ease of setup, use, and maintenance by allowing adjustments to the focus position via an application user interface.
Eight real-time GPIOs with rotary encoder support enable the Iris GTR to precisely track and interact with high-speed production lines and equipment. In addition, thanks to a Gigabit Ethernet interface, the smart camera can efficiently distribute image data over in-plant networks.
The cameras are fully programmable, developed using standard Microsoft tools. By integrating both the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) and 3rd party libraries into its own applications, developers have the freedom and flexibility to design the vision application. Matrox Iris GTR runs on Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 64-bit or Matrox Fedora Remix Linux 64-bit.
