The new Mini-PC "PI Netbox" from Optris is significantly more powerful than its predecessor. For the first time all infrared cameras PI series can be operated above - as a stand-alone system or as a cable extension via GigE. Furthermore, the Mini-PC can be installed together with the IR camera in the cooling shroud "Cooling Jacket Advanced" in high temperature applications.
"The PI Netbox is now compatible with ours VGA camera PI 640 and our Metal camera PI 1M, Especially the stand-alone solution is in great demand for these two cameras as well, "explained Torsten Czech, product marketing manager of Optris GmbH.
From the Infrared camera PI 160 (160 x 120 Px) with up to 120 Hz up to PI 1M (764 x 480 Px) with up to 1 kHz, the PI Netbox can now be used with all models of the PI series. The stand-alone system has the great advantage that in addition to the camera software and individual user software can be used. Netbox Utility and the factory-installed Control Center on the Mini-PC make commissioning and configuration easy and quick. The internal watchdog function guarantees fail-safe and therefore cost-saving operation. The calculator has a sturdy aluminum housing and a compact size of 113 x 57 x 47 mm.
The Netbox was equipped with the operating system Windows 7 Professional. Core groups include a COM Express Mini Embedded Board, an Intel Quad Core processor with 1,91 GHz and the 2 GB RAM. These ensure a flawless function of the license-free software. The 16 GB SSD hard disk can be extended by Micro SDHC or SDXC cards. With three USB ports, additional process modules can be connected in addition to keyboards and mice. The power supply runs from 8 to 48 V DC or via PoE.
