The 2014 placed on the market Thermal imager "PI 640" from Optris has been supplemented by two additional interchangeable lenses. For the different measuring tasks and requirements of the customers now have three lenses with 33 °, 60 90 ° ° and available. The camera is supplied with calibration and license-free software.
The PI 640 is industry-wide in industrial use worldwide. Since in many applications only a small distance between the object to be measured and the thermal imager is available, the manufacturer has realized with the further development of greater flexibility. The proprietary software also allows the use of the thermal imager as a line scanner, allowing a field of view (FOV) of up to 120 °.
The lenses were designed and developed in Germany. The various components, including the germanium lenses customary in the long-wave infrared measuring range (LWIR), are manufactured or assembled at the Berlin headquarters and the respective optics are calibrated to the thermal imaging camera.
