Automate your image creation: The Image Service from Auvesy is a software solution for automated creation of images of Windows PCs and servers. An image can be used to quickly restore important data in the event of a problem. The service can be installed in three ways: remotely using Windows tools / services, through a software distribution tool in the enterprise, or manually.
The images can be stored on the "Versiondog" server or on any drive in one of the company networks. Different authorization structures can also be mapped with the temporary drive (image).
With the image service it is possible to create jobs as usual to automatically create images at regular intervals. Depending on the configuration, the Versiondog backup contains the image or a link to the image. The metadata for the individual images can be compared with one another in the Versiondog data management software: If the hardware of the secure PC changes during regular image jobs, a warning appears that the old images might not be compatible with the changed or new PCs.
The image is restored using the "Drive Snapshot" program. The DriveSnapshot.exe comes with every image created by the Image Service. Restoring an image with Drive Snapshot is royalty-free.
