Sieve + Meyer has extended its central PC software "Drivemaster2" with a new spindle service tool that can be used to parameterize run-in cycles of spindles. From the next software release, the solution can be used for all drives and servo drives in the SD2x family of devices.
With the spindle service tool, spindle manufacturers and repairers can automate and monitor the parameterization of run-in cycles. Special ball bearings require individual and defined running-in cycles after installation in order to be able to guarantee the specified concentricity and service life. With the help of the spindle service tool, the user can now implement these run-in cycles without external control / PLC. Thus, this process step in the field can also be carried out without a complex testing station.
The software Drivemaster2 is the control center of the entire SD2x product family. Thanks to the intuitive operation, the user can carry out all the steps required in practice quickly and easily - from initial parameterization and commissioning to diagnostics. With the "Motor Analyzer" function added in the last release, motor and system developers can verify the respective motor design with regard to achievable performance data.
