SPS IPC Drives Hall 3, 218 Stand
Nord Drive Systems shows smart control solutions for synchronous and asynchronous motors. One focus is on the decentralized frequency inverters the series SK 200E, The technology leaders in their class offer an integrated positioning function, highest overload capacity and the largest power range from 0,25 to 22 kW. Among other things, the flexibility of drives in large plants with a central automation concept is demonstrated:
They are controlled in normal operation via fieldbus or Industrial Ethernet and can be disconnected from the central control via switches for maintenance purposes, for example. Then the PLC integrated in the frequency inverter takes over and performs, for example, positioning. In the event of an unplanned, sudden disconnection from the higher-level system control, the drive can autonomously maintain important process steps in order to limit production disruptions.
Thanks to the PLC functionality, drive-related applications including sequential control systems, which are conventionally arranged in the central machine control, can be fully implemented in the drive. Another exhibit shows a drive that can be used on pumps, for example. He recognizes blockages and responds autonomously by attempting to solve the changes in speed and direction. If he can successfully eliminate the blockage, the drive resumes normal operation. Otherwise it sends a fault message to the control level. In customer applications, for example, he would also unlock a bypass. Stand visitors can also operate a converter via a mobile device and control the speed of a geared motor.
