Mitsubishi Electric has the new Servo drive "MR-J4-TM ", which presents itself with Anybus plug-in cards from eF @ ctory Alliance Partner HMS Industrial Networks. With this solution, the company will for the first time open its servo technology for third-party control and networking technologies, allowing machine builders to take full advantage of Japan's highly-compact, high-performance technology at all times. The plug-in card ensures the necessary compatibility.
Often, mechanical engineers are bound by the specifications of customers to the components of certain providers. However, with MR-J4-TM servo amplifiers based on MR-J4 technology, plant builders are able to use Mitsubishi Electric servo technology despite mandatory control, which offers significant advantages in terms of space savings and design flexibility, among other benefits. The special functions of the MR-J4 series, such as vibration suppression of the first and second degree, or the one-touch tuning function can also be used.
Amir Dehnavi, Product Manager for Servo Motion / L-Series CE-HUB, Mitsubishi Electric Europe BV, explains: "One of our core competencies is servo technology. Comparing the Mitsubishi Electric servo products, for example, with those of European manufacturers in terms of size and performance, our components offer a 30 to 40 percent higher power density. This means that our products are sometimes half the size of other manufacturers for the same or higher performance. "
In the first version, the MR-J4-TM has an Ethercat plug-in card. The next step will be a Profinet variant. More options will follow. In this way, a machine can be quickly and easily adapted to various Ethernet systems and thus for worldwide use with different control and network technology.
