Nord Drive Systems presents a new one motor-mounted starter With extended power range, the soft start and reversing function now decentralized for motors from 0,25 to 7,5 kW. The compact SK 135E integrates motor overload protection through PTC thermistor monitoring, mains and motor phase failure monitoring as well as I²t and magnetization current monitoring. The electronic, wear-free switch replaces the motor protection switch, reversing contactor switch and brake rectifier and can thus save entire control cabinets in large systems.
Cables for thermistor connection and for brake control are also omitted. This makes installations cost-effective, space-saving and faster. Except for the connection, with optional connectors, the complete supply of the pre-wired drive with gearbox, motor and motor starter is possible without installation effort.
The soft starter function prevents on and off blows and protects the mechanics. For applications requiring high breakaway torque, a boost voltage can be programmed. For the Reversing operation can be set various braking behavior. To adjust the most important parameters, four potentiometers and four DIP switches are available on the starter. LED signal the operating state. Parameterizations and diagnostics are made using parameter boxes or with the free software "Nord ConThe entire decentralized electronics program of the supplier, which also includes the two frequency inverter series SK 180E and SK 200E, can be operated uniformly thanks to the integrated concept.
