With the Drive amplifier SD2B Sieb + Meyer is expanding its product range with an extremely compact drive solution in 1 board construction for low-voltage high-speed spindles. Thanks to its powerful control technology, it enables sensorless operation of synchronous and asynchronous motors up to a speed of 120.000 min-1.
Low-voltage spindles are often used in compact machine concepts. For the electronic components then usually only very little installation space is available. Thanks to the space-saving 1 board design with dimensions of only 142 x 110 x 55 mm, the SD2B also has sufficient space in compact systems.
Since the drive amplifier has been specifically developed for direct integration into the electrical design, it is already equipped as standard with all the interfaces required for connection to a higher-level controller. These include an analog setpoint signal (± 10 V), digital I / O, RS232 and CAN bus. The wide input voltage range of the SD2B (24 ... 90 VDC) allows an optimum adaptation to the machine-side supply voltage or the specific rated voltage of the motor. For easier operation, an external control panel with display can optionally be connected.
