Rockwell Automation has the power range of Frequency converter Allen-Bradley Powerflex 755 extended to 1500 kW. The company completes the Powerflex750 series performance range and now offers a wide range of options and features. The high-performance drive offers the application flexibility of the Powerflex750 series, giving heavy industry a new option for extended power control.
The Powerflex 755 is suitable for a variety of applications, from simple speed or torque applications to the most demanding positioning and tracking systems. Possible applications include fans, pumps, mixers, compressors, conveyor belts and extruders, as well as applications in the oil, gas, automotive, rubber, refinery, metals and mining industries.
The latest addition includes the advanced control features of earlier models, including features such as suitability for 400 / 480 / 600 / 690 Volt and N-1 technology. Using N-1 technology, users can configure the Powerflex 755 drive to accept either one, two, or all three power sections. use and thus build a frequency converter redundancy. So the application can continue to be operated even if a power unit fails. The DC bus options allow users to operate the Powerflex 755 in the same DC link to conserve power in the various applications. Using a common DC bus increases the overall performance of the system and reduces losses, which ultimately improves the energy efficiency of the system.
