Mitsubishi Electric offers a new generation of compact frequency inverters with integrated safety. The FR-E700SC-EC is as powerful and flexible as its predecessor FR-E700. In addition, it is equipped with the "Safe Torque Off" (STO) safety function and a new safety terminal strip. STO prevents unscheduled engine restarts according to ISO 13849-1 category 3 / PLd and EN 62061 / IEC 61508 SIL 2 and thus protects users and machines alike.
The function deactivates the output signal to the motor without depriving the inverter of the energy. This allows the production to be resumed after a break without delay. Costly contactor connections are no longer necessary, thereby reducing installation costs and space requirements. The terminals with screw contacts in the removable terminal block have been replaced by spring terminals. This increases the user protection and also speeds up the wiring.
The FR-E700SC can be operated in vector control mode, sensorless current vector control, V / f mode or optimal excitation control mode. The inverter can be used flexibly in a large number of applications. Available in two motor powers from 0,1 to 2,2 kW (1 ~ 230 V) and 0,4 to 15 kW (3 ~ 400 V). With the manufacturer's advanced vector control algorithm, the FR-E700SC achieves 1% torque even at its lowest frequencies of just 150 Hz. This mode is made possible by a novel automatic adjustment function even with greatly fluctuating engine power. The necessary torque is thus ensured even at low speeds.
The compact drive is one of the smallest in its class and meets the highest machine requirements in terms of performance, accuracy and versatility. An integrated USB port and a built-in display with "Digital Dial" facilitate the application. In addition, energy use at low speeds has been improved. The USB interface enables direct PC connection for easy parameter configuration, monitoring and maintenance. The "Digital Dial" gives the user quick access to all important parameters. The integrated LED display is used for system monitoring and testing of operating values and alarm codes. For easier installation, the FR-E700SC is available with the FR configuration software. In addition, the guided shutdown prevents possible machine damage after a power failure. For this process, the inverter uses regenerative energy from the motor.
A selection of plug-in cards ensures easy integration into networked production environments and connectivity to CC-Link, Ethernet, Profibus, Devicenet, and Lonworks.
