Common solutions in horizontal conveyor technology are often oversized and therefore consume too much energy. Lenze has addressed this problem and challenged common solutions. The result is integrated, decentralized drive packages that are tailored precisely to the respective task. Thanks to a freely adjustable speed, the variety of variants of the drives can be reduced by up to 70%, a time-consuming variant management is eliminated, and the reduced storage costs sustainably reduce costs.
The integrated, decentralized drive solution is a combination of smart engine and transmission series "G500" and combines the simplicity of a mains motor with the advantages of electronic control. Electronics and software are integrated into the drive and merge with the mechanics to form a unit. The speed of the motor is intelligently and accurately translated into torque. To avoid overdimensioning, the starting torque is much higher. Machine builders and plant operators benefit from this package in many ways: from a simple operating concept, from lower energy consumption and thus lower operating costs and from a variant reduction.
