Kollmorgen shows how tomorrow's machine design can look like and what role flexible servo drive technology can play in it based on real customer applications. Beyond these two application examples, the trade fair appearance is characterized by decentralized servo technology. Thanks to its compact dimensions and high degree of protection, the robust controller series AKD-N can be very easily integrated close to the engine in machine designs. The single-cable connection technology with only a 11 mm thin hybrid cable between controller and motor reduces the installation effort. Together with the stainless steel servo motors AKMH also the cleaning of systems becomes much easier.
The drive specialist has refined this forward-looking drive technology so that the advantages can be exploited centrally and decentrally with just one standard cable - regardless of which motor is currently connected to which feedback system. Whether a robust resolver or a high-resolution multi-turn encoder: Kollmorgen reduces warehouse management and variant management costs in this way. Furthermore, individual drive axles - for example, within a commissioning - easier to customize function without having to relocate constantly even the cables.
