At the Inter Airport Europe has Nord Drive Systems an integrated drive concept for the Baggage logistics at airports demonstrated. Combined with efficient gearmotors The decentralized frequency inverters and motor starters from the manufacturer provide a slim, user-friendly solution from a single source. For lifting, lowering and positioning, an SK 200E inverter with direct-wired motor encoder, integrated positioning function and brake management (via 180-VDC output) is used.
Models from the same series independently provide belt conveyors for contactless damming - the sensor signals are routed via interfaces directly to the inverter.
To transfer pieces of luggage in the hoist, the units synchronize with each other. The compact one Inverter SK 180E regulates the roller conveyor drive in the trade fair model. Again, damming and synchronizing are possible. With the same user interface, the drive specialist also offers the electronic soft starter and reversing starter SK 135E, which protects the mechanism with a soft start. Because the starter is also installed directly on the motor terminal box and includes extensive protection mechanisms, it is a cost-saving alternative to centralized solutions that require a lot of cabling and require separate motor protection switches, reversing contactors and brake rectifiers.
The communication between the controller and the drives was implemented in the exhibition setup with Profibus. Of course, connections can also be realized via all common bus systems.
