Kollmorgen closes with his VLM servomotors the gap between stepper motors and high performance servo motors. The new synchronous servo motors offer maximum torque from 0,5 to 4,5 Nm and peak torque up to 16 Nm as well as speeds up to 6000 min-1, At the same time, they impress with their flexible configurability and proven Kollmorgen quality and reliability. This makes them suitable for applications in which stepper and asynchronous motors reach their limits and where high-performance servomotors are not absolutely necessary.

The many standard design and layout options allow engineers to tailor the solution to their applications and machines from the outset. This minimizes the time and cost of installation and further improves the price / performance ratio. The VLM motors with 60 or 90-mm or Nema-23 or 34 standard frames are available in the six most commonly used motor sizes and with twelve different standard windings. The possibility of wave configuration facilitates seamless integration into almost any system.

The feedback units include Digital Resolver (SFD), Resolver, Encoder and Hall sensors. The VLM motors achieve continuous torques up to 4,5 Nm and peak torques up to 16 Nm and can be operated in power grids with 230 V AC voltage. Of course, the new motors meet the ROHS guidelines, a CE and UL certification.
