SEWThe compact servomotors of the Series CMP from SEW-Eurodrive, thanks to their adaptability, they can be used for a wide variety of automation applications. In combination with the MOVI-PLC control, these drives are very well suited for palletizing or stacking as well as for loading and unloading of processing machines. The drive specialist has expanded its CMP series and offers 40, 50, 63, 71, 80 and 100 sizes of drive solutions with peak torque up to 178,8 Nm.

Thanks to its low-inertia rotor, the CMP motor achieves high angular acceleration. For example, the largest motor CMP100L (peak torque 178,8 Nm) reaches a speed of 3000 min-1 in only 7 ms. Unique is the ability to equip the low-inertia rotor with an additional flywheel. This CMPZ motor is thus suitable for driving heavy loads as well as for applications with changing load inertia, for example on rocker arms or eccentric presses. All servomotors of the CMP series can be combined directly with all gear units from the SEW modular system.

The CMP motors are also optionally available as brake servomotors. For this purpose, the low-inertia spring-pressure holding brake BP is available throughout all sizes CMP 40 to 100, or with CMPZ 71 to 100 the high-performance spring-loaded brake BY with high working capacity. Both variants each have two selectable braking torques. The servo motors are equipped as standard with resolver technology; Optionally, scalable Hiperface encoders are also available. They are supplied with an electronic nameplate so that commissioning with the Movidrive universal converter or the Moviaxis modular servo system can be carried out with minimal effort.

For the evaluation of drive solutions in machines and systems according to the standard EN ISO 13849-1, the CMP motors offer a suitable safety-rated encoder with Hiperface interface. The CMP motor with safety-rated encoder can be used for applications up to PL d (Performance Level d) and up to SIL 2 (Safety Integrity Level 2) according to IEC 61508. Various safety functions can therefore already be implemented with one encoder: SS1, SS2, SOS, SLA, SLI, SLS, SDI in accordance with EN 61800-5-2. This option is available for CMP 40 to 100 and CMPZ 71 to 100 and can be identified by the "FS" marking on the motor nameplate. The solution contains not only a TÜV-certified encoder, but also a secure TÜV-tested connection and mounting on the engine. SEW takes responsibility for traceability and traceability.
