The Rotary actuators of the PSM series from PS Automation combine extensive functionality with a compact design and high energy efficiency. The variable-speed drive makes it possible to assign different speeds to the travel or the setpoint range in sections. The first size is the PSM with 60 Nm cut-off torque for three-phase power supply.
The PSM is used for the actuation of flaps in conjunction with a swivel gear, slides or a continuous spindle. By using a plug-in coupling, the drive can be easily adapted to the valve interface.
The rotary motion of the drive is detected by a contactless, fully coded sensor and electronically evaluated. The drive is a powerful and energy-efficient DC motor, which is controlled and monitored by the electronics. Its motor torque is transmitted via a compact, multi-stage planetary gear to the output. A PSM with DC motor and planetary gear has a lower energy requirement compared to a conventional drive. For the same output, the PSM needs about half the electrical energy.
