koco Motion presents innovations from its portfolio of highly integrated electrical drives and motion control products. A highlight is the new interface "Modbus TCP" in the proven integrated stepper motor drives "Mdrive Plus" and "Mdrive Hybrid". It is available in the programmable Motion Control version and promises to be an insider tip.
Modbus TCP has established itself as the industry standard for industrial communication in addition to Profinet IO, Ethernet / IP, Ethercat and Powerlink. Based on Ethernet TCP / IP data transmission, Modbus TCP is increasingly in demand among Industrial Ethernet networks. This development is based on the simple and proven Modbus RTU protocol, which allows the Mdrive drives to be easily integrated into appropriate controllers or IPCs.
The integrated high-resolution microstep control with up to 51.200 microsteps per revolution enables very precise movements and positioning. External sensors, limit switches, etc. can be connected directly to the integrated inputs / outputs.
The patented "closed-loop" hybrid motion control (HMI) control in the Mdrive hybrid drives prevents the "step-out" typical for stepper motors. In the event of an overload, the HMI will use the integrated encoder to reduce the speed to standstill if necessary. The motor thus behaves like a DC servo drive and therefore no longer needs to be oversized accordingly. There are four motor lengths each in the Nema 23 motor flange size (56 x 56 mm). The maximum torque is 2 Nm. There is also a version as a linear actuator with trapezoidal threaded spindle.
These integrated stepper motor drives are suitable for a large number of positioning applications, for example in automation technology, measurement technology or medical technology. They can be easily and quickly integrated into the application.
