Highly integrated electric drives and motion control products describe the portfolio of Koco Motion. At the autumn trade fairs Motek and SPS / IPC / Drives, the drive specialist will present its new brushless servo motors ACM and servo control ACS806, With this powerful drive unit, among other things, precisely controlled rotary movements and positioning in the power range up to 400 W can be realized.
The DC motors of the ACM series have Hall sensors and encoders with 2500 lines. Due to the high resolution of the encoders of 10.000 increments per revolution, in the speed range up to about 3000 min-1 very precise and delicate movements and positioning are performed.
The ACS806 is controlled by a universal opto-coupled digital clock / direction input. Each clock pulse at the control input shifts the target position of the motor by one encoder increment so that each pulse immediately results in motor positioning. An analog input as reference for the speed is in preparation. Via an RS232, the control parameters of the servo control can be easily and conveniently parameterized, tuned and adapted to the corresponding load conditions. Depending on the motor type, the supply voltage on the controller can be selected in the range from 18 V to 80 V DC.
In addition to the absence of brush wear, the drive system is characterized by a very quiet and almost noiseless run. The entire speed range can also be fine-tuned. Thanks to the very good price / performance ratio and the ease of use, the drive unit is suitable for a large number of positioning applications such as those found in automation or medical technology.
