The brushless DC servo motors of the BX4 series are being extended by a world first: Faulhaber presents the 2232 / 2250 ... BX4 CSD / CCD series, the smallest brushless motor to date with an integrated, diameter-compliant motion controller. The drive series combines all the advantages of BX4 technology in the smallest of spaces: a long service life, high, non-latching torque and no adhesives. This makes it suitable for use in demanding application areas such as robotics, automation, medical technology, special machine construction and aerospace.
The drives are based on the manufacturer's motion control systems. The compact, diameter-compliant design and suitable gear combinations result in the drive solution for a wide variety of applications. The systems have a serial RS232 or CAN interface and can be parameterized via the Motion Manager 4.4 software. The wide temperature range of -25 ° ... + 85 ° C, a thermally permissible continuous current up to 0,69 A and flexibly adjustable speeds of 5 ... 8000 rpm also extend the field of application of the drives. On request, the system is also available with custom firmware.
All products with integrated electronics feature automatic peak and continuous current limiting to protect the motor and electronics. Optionally, motor and electronics can be operated with separate supply voltages. Two motor lengths in 32 and 50 mm are available with a rated voltage of 24 V DC. In particular, the extremely low slope of the n / M characteristic curve and a very good torque-to-volume ratio with continuous torques from 18 to 35 mNm characterize this product novelty.
