The compact, closed Linear System by Rodriguez is equipped with a ball screw with single nut and two ball bearing guides. It is especially suitable for applications in the medium load range with high accuracy requirements, where speed plays a minor role. Typical applications include handling tasks in the field of machine tools, metal forming, woodworking machinery, and in mounting devices or applications of automation technology.
The basis of the linear unit is a drawn aluminum profile, in which a ball screw drive, two recirculating ball bearings with two guide carriages and matching rolling bearings have been integrated. Optimally coordinated high-precision mechanical conversion parts and a self-holding cover strip made of stainless steel complete the RLA.
If required, the RLA can be modified to suit the application. If required, the manufacturer manufactures the linear unit precisely, for example, in the design of the slide or the connection to the adjacent construction as well as in terms of speed, length and appearance. It would also be possible to combine several linear units with one XY stage or one XYZ system solution.
The RLA is now available in application-specific versions. It is currently available in the four different spindle pitches 5, 10, 16 and 50 mm. The maximum traversing speed is 0,5 m / s, the stroke length 1000 mm. Over the next few months, the RLA program will be supplemented with units with longer travel distances and higher speeds.
