The Linear Motion business unit of Schaeffler introduces for the first time an electromechanical lifting column as ready-to-install complete solution. Robustly designed and compactly built, it can handle loads of up to several hundred kilograms reliably and with high technical availability. The compact mechatronic system is designed, among other things, for the high demands of medical technology, but can also be easily adapted to the requirements of other industrial applications.
The electro-mechanical lifting column consists of a massive cable carrying tube, an inner tube, a motor with countershaft, a spindle with (safety) catch nut, power supply chains to accommodate the cables, the harness, a flange for mounting a swivel unit and sturdy sheet metal parts for Connection to the environment construction. Attached holes also allow the mounting of the lifting column on a frame or a carriage.
Two high-performance linear guidance systems in the lifting column arranged opposite each other allow a high and exactly reproducible guiding quality. The end position of the stroke is detected by electronic limit switches. The electric drive is a brushless 24 V DC motor. The lifting columns are delivered as complete, ready-to-connect units and can be easily integrated into existing and new installations.
