For the lubrication of Ball Screws Linear technology expert Hiwin has developed an electronic monitoring system. A sensor monitors the lubrication state of the nut and triggers activation of the central lubrication if lubrication is insufficient. The cost of lubricants can thus achieve savings of up to 40%, and failures caused by insufficient lubrication are reliably prevented. The more targeted use of lubricants also optimizes the environmentally friendly use of resources. Last but not least, the controlled use of the lubricant prevents excessive contamination of the machine.
The lubricant monitoring can be used in all applications with a centralized lubrication system. Depending on the application, the ball screw drives in standard applications can be lubricated with grease or oil. The ball screws are available in different tolerance classes: Rolled and swirled versions are available from stock, ground ball screws are manufactured according to customer requirements. Typical fields of application are industrial applications such as printing presses, automation applications and assembly machines in electronic systems.
