With the solution platform "Easy handling " Rexroth takes the next step for the economic automation of handling tasks. The perfect interaction of all drive and control technologies with linear systems, standardized mechanical and electrical interfaces as well as new commissioning assistants simplify automation from the ground up. EasyHandling is more than just a modular system and reduces the overall time for configuration, installation and commissioning by up to 80%, depending on the application.
The basis for this is the three-level architecture of the EasyHandling system solution with the basic, comfort and advanced versions. These modularly cover all automation levels, from mechatronic actuators to intelligent axes to preconfigured system solutions, and enable cost-effective up- and downgrading.
The basic variant includes ready-to-install mechanical single and multi-axis linear systems including motors and pneumatics. It covers all mechanical drive principles. In addition, pneumatic actuators such as grippers and rotary modules as well as sensors are available. A solution-oriented selection tool shortens the configuration and detailed design.
Pre-parameterized servo drives from the manufacturer extend the entire range of basic axes to EasyHandling comfort. With the multi-protocol hardware, servo drives "IndraDrive Cs" offer communication via Sercos III, Profinet IO, EtherNet / IP and EtherCat. Alternatively, it is possible to equip the drives with a conventional communication interface such as Profibus. Thus, the comfort version combines high flexibility with easy commissioning.
In the commissioning assistant, axis-specific electrical and mechanical data are already stored. It recognizes the electronic nameplate of the "IndraDyn" motor and links the data to the mechanical parameters after entering the serial number of the linear module. This reduces commissioning to a handful of application-specific data and saves up to 90% of the time previously required.
In addition, EasyHandling significantly simplifies design and assembly, as a positive connection technology reduces the hitherto necessary in-house production of adapter components by up to 75%.
In the third stage advanced, a scalable and preconfigured motion logic control has been integrated into the handling systems that complies with IEC 61131-3 and "PLCopen". It uses pre-defined functions to replace complex programming with fast configuration. In the case of Cartesian systems, the control system takes over the coordinated point-to-point movements as well as the grinding and rail-optimized handling paths. Due to the stored axis-specific mechanical data, the software of the drive controller gives the user runtime- and path-dependent maintenance instructions. This ensures, for example, compliance with lubrication intervals. As a result, this feature increases life and significantly reduces the risk of outages.
