The positioning systems PSE 211 / 212-8 of Halstrup-Walcher are intelligent compact solutions for the automatic adjustment of auxiliary and positioning axes. They consist of a DC motor, gearbox, controller, measuring system and data bus connection. The integrated control electronics relieve the central machine control. External power units, proximity or limit switches, pulse or absolute encoders are not required.
Equipped with the cost-effective DC motor, the positioning systems of the PSE 211 and PSE 212 series also make it possible to implement automation tasks that were previously not economically feasible for cost reasons. As is usual with the manufacturer's positioning systems, the control and power sections have separate power supplies. The addressing takes place via bus or optionally by means of a mechanical switch. Also optional is a baud rate switch with which the baud rate manual can be set. A special feature of the PSE 211 / 212-8 is the variable position of the connecting cable. By turning the cover by 90 ° each, three different positions of the cable glands are possible. Users can easily respond to individual installation situations.
The manufacturer now offers the data interface Sercos III Interface for the intelligent positioning systems for mechanical engineering; also for special applications in hygienic design in the area of food and cleanroom applications.
