Afag complements its range of proven spindle arms with the stronger FL series modules. With the same module geometry, the new components are significantly stronger than the standard booms from the handling system. This is made possible by a smaller spindle pitch.
In joining operations or pressing operations with greater force requirements, the spindle jacks have so far reached their limits. Especially for such cases, the handling specialist is now expanding its range with the new spindle arms of the "Force Line" (FL) series, which are significantly stronger than the standard components with the same module geometry. This is achieved by a smaller spindle pitch between 4 and 10 mm, which gives the FL arms more power. Peak forces up to 600 N and the handling of payloads up to 16 kg are possible. This gives the user more options and flexibility in axis design.
The FL arms are available for spindle diameters of 8, 10 and 12 mm with variable stroke lengths from 50 to 300 mm. The components allow the user powerful and very precise positioning movements with a repeat accuracy of ± 0,01 mm. They can also be combined with the equally new force measuring units KE-200 and KE-1000. These can be mounted on the spindle axes without an intermediate plate and allow reliable force regulation and high accuracy, even with changing loads during the cycle.
