KTR has the family of "Rotex "couplings to another variant for use in corrosive environments enhanced: The new Rotex offers quality KTL coating and reaches the corrosivity category C4-long according to DIN EN ISO 12944. The hub material is standard steel. Coating was carried out by means of cathodic dip coating (CDC), also called cataphoresis.

The result is a uniform layer thickness with a very good surface quality and high temperature resistance. The environmentally friendly process offers very good corrosion properties and guarantees a high accuracy of fit of the hubs.

To determine the corrosion protection class, the drive specialist carried out a salt-spray test on the coated coupling components for a period of 1000 hours. Accordingly, the new coupling variant can be assigned to the corrosivity category C4-lang according to DIN EN ISO 12944. It is predestined for use in highly atmospheric environmental conditions such as industrial atmosphere, chemical production facilities or coastal areas with moderate salt water pollution.

The Rotex with KTL coating is available in sizes 19 to 125 and standard with pre-drilled hubs from stock. The elastic claw coupling is axially pluggable and maintenance-free. It offers good dynamic properties, very good vibration damping and low moment of inertia with high torque transmission. The precise machining positively influences the running properties of the coupling and considerably increases the service life expectancy.

The coupling with KTL coating is delivered from the factory with the high-temperature resistant T-PUR sprocket material. This is available in three degrees of hardness.
