Mayr Antriebstechnik completes its safety couplings for high-speed applications now a large range with high torque. In addition to the "EAS HSC "(high-speed Compact) transfers the new" EAS HSE"(High-speed elements) still significantly higher speeds - in special design to 20.000 min-1. The clutch release mechanism is therefore suitable for use in all test benches which require a large clutch.
The EAS-HSE series is based on the decades-long proven design principles of the "EAS elements"And was designed for the extreme requirements of test bench technology in the high torque range. For large clutches with high torques, the coupling specialist uses several overload elements for the largest possible diameter. Thus, much higher torques than with a central Ausrastmechanismus be realized. They are between 100 and 8400 Nm. In the standard version, speeds up to 12.000 min-1 permissible, in special version even up to 20.000 min-1.
The separation of input and output is almost free of residual torque with a high shutdown and repeatability. Due to the axial stroke of the bolt or ball carrier, the switching segments move radially outward and thus cause the axial release. The elements do not automatically re-engage but remain disconnected until they are re-engaged manually or via a device. The position for synchronous re-engagement to maintain balancing quality is clearly marked on the clutch.
The EAS-HSE thus provides a safe and precise torque limit and caused by the complete separation of the drive train no detent impacts. One of the basic prerequisites for the use of a safety coupling in high-speed applications is the high balancing quality of each individual component, in order to achieve optimal running smoothness of the drive train in the combination of the components. The couplings are extremely compact and allow low backlash high power density. In addition, the reduction of the rotating masses has a positive effect on smoothness and machine dynamics.
In the EAS-HSE series, three sizes have been realized so far for torques from 100 to 8400 Nm. Depending on the size, they have speeds from 6000 to 12.000 min-1 allowed. Four other sizes are projected. The entire series will in future have torques up to 25.000 Nm and speeds up to 16.000 min-1 cover. Due to their properties, the EAS-HSE safety couplings are not only suitable for test benches but also for all other high-speed drive axles.
