Jakob Antriebstechnik offers a new series of Servo Couplings with single-sided flange connection. The models KPE and KPP-F enable the connection of gears and motors with a mechanical interface standardized according to DIN EN ISO 9409-1. Both types ensure the production-specific advantages of the metal bellows servo clutches, such as absolute backlash, high torsional rigidity, the compensation of misalignments and a high operating torque.
The servo couplings are thus recommended for a wide range of applications. Advantages of the KPE series with its two-part connection flange are its compact design and simple installation, while the pluggable version KPP-F is especially suitable for installation conditions that are difficult to access.
Both couplings can be used for bolt circle diameters from 31,5 to 160 mm of the standard flange and thus cover a wide range. They are characterized by the highest quality of materials: flange rings and clamping ring hub are made, for example, of nitro-carburized tempered steel, the clamping hub and the U-ring made of high-strength aluminum. The bellows is made of stainless steel and withstands temperatures up to 300 ° C. The crimping-in procedure developed and patented by the manufacturer guarantees a perfect and play-free connection of metal bellows and hub. For steel or stainless steel hubs, as used in the models with a nominal torque of 1600 Nm, a special micro-plasma welding process for bellows bonding is alternatively used, in order to meet the uncompromising demands on the own product quality.
