Tsubaki offers couplings and shaft-hub connections for the machine tool industry for the metalworking industry. The "Power-Lock" shaft-hub locking components are designed for simple and highly secure connections, the "Real-Flex" clutch has been optimized for finite element analysis and the "Jaw-flex" clutch complements the range with very good vibration damping properties.
The Power-Lock shaft-hub connection is available in many sizes and models with numerous new developments: including nickel-plated and stainless steel components, quick-assembly units, self-centering and lubricant-free designs, slim-line versions, pressure flange options.
Often presented as the ultimate disc clutch, the drive specialist optimized the "real-flex" clutch with finite element analysis. This coupling does not require lubrication, creates no play and is torsionally stiff for precision operation. It can absorb shaft misalignments and provides torques from 0,7 to 176.000 Nm. A variety of models are available, including long distance or floating waves. The U-type allows quick and easy assembly and disassembly of spacers, while the G-type gear couplings can easily replace. Also included in the program are Power Lock, Keyway and Klemm versions.
The "Jaw-flex" coupling with its vibration-damping properties is very well suited for metalworking machines, where the cutting and forming can lead to strong vibrations. Applications are also found when connecting ball screws with servo motors as for feed shafts in machine tools. For easier installation, the Jaw-flex needs only one screw to connect the coupling to the shaft. It consists of two taper lock hubs and a star, with which vibration damping and torsional rigidity can be adjusted, thus optimizing the service life.
