The newly developed planetary gear RC4 series by SPN Swabia precision are characterized by optimum smoothness, power density, bearing capacity and rigidity. The RC4 series with flange is based on the already proven PU4 series with shaft. In the development, the drive specialists focused on the criteria that are decisive for the power density of a planetary gear: gearing geometry, planetary gear storage and output bearing.
Optimized helical gearing, by design, incorporates the largest gearing width currently available on the market for standard catalog gears. This leads in the application to higher overload safety and maximum rigidity. At the same time, the 50% wider toothing of the planetary gear allows the accommodation of a double planetary gear bearing. The inclusion of the internal gear tilting forces leads to increased smoothness and bearing life.
The external forces introduced into the gearbox are compensated by the output bearings arranged on both sides. The directly integrated, space-saving tapered roller bearing enables a more compact design and thus leads to a higher power density and rigidity. The planetary gear series RC4 and PU4 prove themselves in extreme situations due to their overall performance.
