KTR20115Hannover Messe Hall 25, as B24

KTR has a floating caliperbrake developed, which can be equipped with both a hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation. Customer preferences and constraints of the application decide on choosing the right system. Whether in hydraulic or electromechanical design: Both systems of the series "XS" have the same basic construction and due to the same mounting dimensions 1: 1 be substituted for each other - without having to alter the geometry of the system.

This is an advantage for the users who are forced to modify their plant concept. The brakes are made entirely of steel and, in the passive version, generate clamping forces up to 15 kN and in the active up to 16,5 kN. The brake pads are available in "organic" or "sintered metal" materials and can be easily changed. The brakes are installed only by two screws.

The XS series is a typical service brake for high cycle numbers. All features of the new brake are designed to perform reliably at the lowest cost of ownership in the most adverse environmental conditions - day in, day out, onshore / offshore.

With the hydraulic "KTR-Stop" and the electromechanical "EMB-Stop", the drive specialist is one of the few manufacturers in the world to have two different brake systems in its portfolio. These are designed to cover a wide range of different applications with a wide power bandwidth. However, it is not always just about reliably taming large forces. Even adverse environmental influences such as mud, rain, salt, freezing cold or burning heat, it is durable to withstand.
