It is also insensitive to shocks and shocks, as there are no moving elements and the electronics are completely shed.

Further advantages of the proximity switch are the high switching point repetition accuracy, the small hysteresis and the low temperature drift. The switching pin for the proximity switch is mounted in the factory and, in contrast to the release monitoring with microswitch, is not adjustable. Application errors by adjusting the switching point position are thereby excluded - an important contribution to the greatest possible functional and operational safety.

The non-contact release monitoring can optionally be designed as normally open or normally closed. With the normally closed function, the high signal appears when the brake is de-energized. The armature disc drops, the brake closes. A break in the initiator cable is detected when the brake is closed. With the normally open function, the high signal appears when the brake is energized and the armature disc releases the rotor. The brake is released. Only at high signal does the engine get the enable to start up. Driving the engine against the closed brake is thus reliably excluded. Cable break is detected when the brake is open.

The non-contact release monitoring can be integrated into various brake series from the manufacturer. All safety brakes that could previously be equipped with micro switch-based release monitoring can now also be equipped with the non-contact system with proximity switch.
