The double-plus-free conveyor chain Tsubaki provides 2,5 times higher delivery rate compared to the chain speed. This ensures reduced power consumption and longer life of the chain. In response to the improved delivery rates, which are realized by the large role that required motor speeds are compared with previously used only in chains 60 percent. This will allow smaller engines to take more power and that with lower noise level of around 15 dB compared to standard external roller chains.
The double-plus accumulation conveyor chain has a unique design: In conveying mode, the friction between the large conveyor roller and the smaller drive rollers results in a rotation of the roller element. The large central roller sits on the smaller outer roller, which supports the chain on a guide rail. The friction between the large and the small rolls causes them to rotate together at different speeds due to the different diameters in the ratio 1 to 2,5. As a result, the chain 2,5 promotes times faster than it moves. In the dusting operation, the large conveyor roller rotates freely when the conveyed material is jammed. Free turning is done with minimal friction loss and roller wear.
There are the double plus chain in the five sizes 75, 100, 125, 150 and 200 mm as well as in different material versions. The manufacturer recommends the material black steel for normal applications, the chrome version for cleanroom applications and a stainless steel version for corrosive environments. A maintenance-free design completes the offer. Provided with an integrated cover, the chain is suitable for use in conveyor systems and applications where small parts such as bolts and nuts can fall into the gaps between the guides and rollers. Overall, the double-plus accumulation conveyor chain is suitable for applications such as the production of smaller electronic components, TV or PC monitors and for use in the automotive industry.
