The integrated series for servo drives AMI812x from Beckhoff combines the components Servomotor, final stage and Fieldbus connection. The new servo drives expand the compact drive technology up to 48 V DC by extremely compact and decentrally installable devices. The servo motor, output stage and fieldbus connection are integrated in a space-saving design for applications with control cabinet-free automation in the motion power range up to 400 W.
As Ethercat slave the servo drive can be placed directly on the machine without a control cabinet and without an upstream I / O level. This enables particularly compact machines to be implemented. For the market launch, the series with the AMI812x offers three lengths of flange size F2 with standstill torque from 0,5 to 1,1 Nm. The AMI812x servomotors are available on request with an absolute multiturn encoder without battery backup and backlash-free holding brake.
Servo drives with protection class IP 65
With the additional shaft sealing ring, the motors achieve the high degree of protection IP 65 for demanding applications. The motors are suitable for all installation positions. The STO safety function is optionally integrated via the Twinsafe Logic.
The fast Control Engineering is based on a field-oriented current and PI speed controller. It supports positioning tasks with high dynamics. Numerous monitoring functions in the machine such as overvoltage and undervoltage, overcurrent or the utilization of the servomotors via the calculation of an I²T model ensure high operational reliability in automation. Integrated status LEDs indicate the respective operating status.
About the M12Power interface electronics and motor are fed. The M8 bus interface for Ethercat offers a second port for easy cascading via an Ethercat daisy chain. A drive with an Ethercat P connection is also planned. The I / O interface (M8) enables the direct connection of two sensors or actuators in the signal range 24 V DC to 0,5 A. The connection cables are available with an angled and straight outlet. Very high torques can also be driven with the right planetary gear from the AG2250 series.
