So that the user can use even more tribologically optimized special solutions, Igus now has five wear and abrasion-resistant high-performance plastics in its range as semi-finished panel strips. These allow the designer new geometric design freedom.
The specialist also offers 27 of its plain bearing materials as semi-finished products. With the high-performance polymer, customers can mill or commission individual solutions and small series themselves. In order to give the user even more design freedom in geometry when designing his wear-resistant special solution, there are now five of the high-performance materials also available as highly abrasion-resistant panel strips.
In addition to the classic "Iglidur W300" and the cost-effective "J4", the FDA-compliant Iglidur A500 material and the high-temperature endurance C500 and Iglidur J350 as specialists for temperatures up to 180 ° C complete the range. All sliding plates are available with a thickness of 15 mm and a width of 160 mm.
The new plate strips are used, for example, as sliding surfaces made from the high-performance plastic Iglidur W300 in abrasive environments in the glass industry. Here, the material impresses with its wear resistance and freedom from maintenance. Special solutions from the Iglidur A500 panel material are available, for example, in the form of slide rails in the food, packaging and semiconductor industries. Here, the chemical-resistant material, in addition to its FDA approval, boasts a high temperature resistance. In contrast, Iglidur C500 is particularly suitable for applications in which aggressive media and extreme temperatures from -100 ° to + 250 ° C prevail. For example, medical, pharmaceutical and chemical engineers can resort to a chemical-resistant solution.
If the user is looking for larger boards, he can choose from board materials with a width of up to 1000 mm out of a total of six different high-performance plastics.
