Workpiece carrier transport system for low weights

The new, flexible "Versaflex" workpiece carrier system from Maschinenbau Kitz rounds off the MK portfolio for workpiece carrier transport with immediate effect. The proven systems based on Timing belts, accumulation roller chains, chains and flat plate conveyors are now being expanded with a single-track and lightweight flat-top conveyor system, also known as a plastic chain conveyor.
The system is suitable for products weighing up to max. 10 kg per workpiece carrier and has a system or chain width of 85 mm. Thanks to the single-track design and curve radii from 160 mm onwards, complex routes can be mapped in confined spaces. And that works with only one drive and a speed of max. 25 m / min.
The workpiece carriers have a standard width of 150 mm and are guided by side guides. In addition to the conveyor lines, functional modules such as stoppers for jamming, buffering or separating and points for distributing the workpiece carriers are available on several conveyor tracks. In addition, the workpiece carrier has positioning units for precise centering or decoupling of the workpiece carriers during assembly or removal.
Versaflex is based on the modular principle and can be easily and inexpensively integrated, adapted and expanded in the production process.
