Thanks to the new "Igubal" clip pivot bushing from Igus M6 ball studs can be mounted effortlessly. All you need is a cylindrical hole in a 10 mm thick mount. Because the bushing and ball pivot can be dismantled just as easily, this maintenance-free innovation is very well suited for prototype construction.
Clips - and ready
The lubrication-free and maintenance-free Igubal Clips spherical bushings (ZCLM-06-10) can be effortlessly mounted by hand. The '06' stands for a ball stud in the size M6, the '10' stands at the end of the designation for the sheet thickness of the mounting in mm. And this is in addition to a cylindrical bore with 12 mm diameter already all that is needed. The ball pin is inserted into the socket, then it is simply pushed until it snaps into the receptacle.
Classic application areas for this are coupling rods, double-jointed bearings or other solutions for the control of connecting rods. Designers thus have great freedom in the design of their geometries. Inside the bush there is a spherical socket for the ball stud, which holds this securely in position. The plastics specialist offers the right ball studs in galvanized steel or stainless steel.
Also, the disassembly is just as simple as the assembly: By squeezing the offset by 90 degrees locking lugs on the underside of the socket then the ball pin can be pulled out together with the socket again from the receptacle. Especially in prototype construction, this possibility is an important feature. The holding power of 120 N is retained even after repeated installation and removal. The clip spherical bearing bushing is made of the material Iglidur J by igu. The material self-lubricating and dry running, which can be dispensed with a subsequent maintenance. Other dimensions Clips spherical bearing bushing are already being planned. On request, there are other special solutions for geometries or materials of ball studs.
